Open YouTube Channel "modestapinetina"
Dear signatories, all friends and supporters, as you may already know, a month ago we opened a thematic channel on the social network used for sharing videos, YouTube. The name of the channel, "modestapinetina" is taken from the text of the report the version of PTCP of the Province of Ferrara (December 2008), which defines "small pine forest" (sic) the wooded areas "of recent plant" located in the Shores Comacchio. Not all videos uploaded to the channel will also be on the blog, we invite you to visit: http://www.youtube.com/user/modestapinetina (find the link Direct Link section at the bottom) and to register (click "Register"). We take this opportunity to thank all those who signed our petition to collect signatures for Estes salguardia pine forests of the Lido and Lido Spina which now has 4090 signatures! A
something these signatures were used: even if they were killed in 17 pine Via Giorgione, for now the work is not continuing at the Lido Spina, and with regard to the forest surrounding the church of San Paolo, we became aware of a new practice building that includes a strong reduction in the indices of building.
course it is our hope that the indices are zero. For this we will continue our work to raise awareness and demand for respect of the existing green.
Thanks to everyone and a warm greeting from the parish of St. Paul Group for the pine forests of the Lidi Este and Spina

Comacchio-Ferrara Waterway: ... and the dunes of the Lido Este? Recommend
Received and Published:
The already weak regional identity of our shores is about to undergo a new attack. On the southern bank of the fairway of Harbour Garibaldi, the free beach of Lido degli Este boasts an authentic jewel of the environment: the case of coastal dunes because specimens characterized by a succession of spatial habitat worthy of a handbook for ecologists. Proceeding from the seashore inland, after the stretch of sand is not vegetated and variously amended, meet the active dunes, where the fine white sand is just small bushes ravestrello colonized by sea, with its delicate flowers rose, and the Italian nappola, immediately followed by the weeds of the beaches and beach grass: Together, the plants begin to hold the substrate, making it friendly for the arrival of other species. Then the dunes are consolidated and become "gray": here, the plot of leaves, branches and roots of calcatreppola Maritime ragweed (recent purchase) of samphire and grass firmly holds the sand, turning it into a defense against Stable wind and storm surges.
Under these dunes, the salt wedge is pushed in depth and can not penetrate to the interior of the coast, allowing fresh water to continue undisturbed on its path towards the sea. Behind the gray dunes, more than a little wet depressions that are home to different species of rushes, growing evergreen shrubs often leathery leaves, such as asparagus, which unequivocally with their appearance and their perfume, recalling warm Mediterranean atmosphere.
Finally, at the end of the succession of vegetation on dunes further inland, meet some pine trees and domestic track of trees planted long ago to protect against salt and the erosive force of wind ripped the fragile farmland to wetlands.
In this frame of habitat, a little disturbed by man, it embeds a meadow of herbs that dry weather enthusiasts, including, from March to June, bloom surprisingly numerous and colorful orchids. There was now just like that, along the Italian coast, and the rarity of these habitats makes them even more valuable to our country to determine what European legislation (it is, according to the European Directive 92/43/EEC of five habitats of Community interest, of these, three are priority natural habitat that is in danger of disappearing permanently from the European Union territory and thus decided to defend so much).
Unfortunately, the immense ecological value, recreational, cultural area was perhaps not understood by those who designed the Ferrara Waterway and we risk losing it forever in a very short time. In fact, the changes envisaged for the final stretch of the waterway, where sboccherà Adriatic, will lead, if not mitigated by appropriate measures, the almost total destruction of the dunes: the platform is moved to the south of several meters, a dock fagociterà the northern edge of the dunes and beside a large deposit for materials and demolished excavated from the port is on the lawn to adagerà orchids on the white and gray dunes, suffocating him forever.
The loss of these habitats will make it more anonymous, the Lido of Este, who, instead of diversifying its offer to attract a user changes the environment (we all know that ecotourism is growing very strong), it will offer nothing but green areas similar to those of any metropolitan periphery.
We ask that all the authorities (Region, Province, City, Delta Park) are activated immediately to begin immediately a process of reviewing the project in its final stretch of the waterway, taking measures of avoidance and mitigation to allow to minimize the damage made to the whole of the dunes. Perhaps you will succeed as to prevent the plaque identifying the near and recent "Park of the Dunes" is transformed by a valid tourist signs to Epitaph in memory of a lost ecosystem.
